Credentials: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I treat individuals, couples - whether or not married; families of all types; and groups to cure or relieve mental, emotional, and relational concerns of all kinds. I also provide early crisis interventions and brief, focused psychotherapy to resolve problems or reduce symptoms quickly. Also, I have the expertise and skills to work with clients where more intensive, long-term treatment is necessary.
Marriage and family therapy are highly efficient because of the "systemic" orientation, which facilitates understanding the emotional process in a family and permits people to go beyond blaming, side-taking, guilt, and anger. Some of the common aspects addressed in therapy include marital and couple conflict, parent and child conflict, children’s behavior problems, and phase of life adjustments.
I believe that an individual's emotional concerns or issues are to be treated within the context of their current or prior relationships. People who seek individual psychotherapy tend to be the most differentiated members of a family system. Treatment addresses aspects such as alcohol and drug abuse, depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunction, grief, distress, eating disorders and weight issues, children’s behavior problems, and eldercare issues, such as coping with parents' or grandparents’ dementia.

Couples Psychotherapy
Services provided via Telehealth
Creating a space for two people to grow together takes a real partnership and a strong commitment to growth. With a secure base, individuals can work together and flourish, and this is what a healthy, loving relationship will provide for each partner. I work using the structural family therapy approach, positive psychology, the Gottman Method (Level II trained), motivational interviewing, emotionally focused therapy, and family systems interventions.
Note: Please know that most insurance plans do not cover couples therapy, only individual and family therapy. If you are looking for Gottman therapy, please double-check with your insurance to make sure you cover this service. My fee for couples therapy is $250 for a 60-minute session. This service is available only via Telehealth.
